A.Passero
Hi fossil forum! I am hoping to get some opinions on the authenticity of these trilobite fossils. If this belongs somewhere else on the forum please let me know where so I can move it, or feel free to move it yourself. I know trilobites are often faked and that fakes are getting more sophisticated, and was looking for a second opinion and my local fossil seller/appraiser recommended this forum. I did tests myself (eye detail, uv reactivity, tooth test) and am fairly confident, but would love a second opinion. I would be happy to bring them to someone in the Toronto area in person if anyone here is in the area as well. If anyone wants pictures at other angles please let me know. Thanks in advance! Fissiletag
I don't see anything wrong with the Harpes trilobite. It would have to be a really good fake to have that much detail.
aeon.rocks
Both are real/natural. Possibly some restored spots on dicranururs, but normal.
