Vertebra identification please!

Here is a vertebra from my small collection. Again, it belonged to a fossil collector here in the UK but I don't know anything other than that. All I've been told is that it is a C2 vertebra but I'd love to know what it belonged to. Many thanks!

From the photographs looks to be Bison, would be worth having a look online for pictures to compare with your specimen.

Just as a point of reference, here is a cervical vertebra from a Bison.  I dont remember which # it is atm.

It does look like a possible match for yours, although yours is missing the lower and lateral processes.
