Fossil egg?

It looked similar to a photo l that I saw online of an egg. 

But I also read that it’s extremely rare to find.

I'm afraid you need to keep looking. I think you may be in an area where egg fossils are exceptionally rare.

Yep your example is geologic in origin

No egg shell, no ovoid shape. Not an egg of any kind, unfortunately.

  I was trying to see how you could even think of 'egg' with this piece of rock.  I dont get it?  Styles is kind enough to help you out on getting started.  Give that a try and im sure you will fall in love with fossil hunting.  Good luck
