This is a spinosaur claw that in auction in a web where an expert puts an estimated value in things. The expert is giving a waaaay waaay lower valuation that you would expect for this and the description really doesn't say anything about if it's a composite, super repared, etc. It just says that it's natural. What do you thing the deal is with this claw? Has something real in it but has tons of reparations?

Have you looked at the guides? Its all out there , this claw is a complete fake and composite. But please do read the guides, it showcases why.

I would like to refer to Troodons guide on claws

Yep completely fake.  Correct, low valuation is typical a red flag on these claws.  Nice big claws like this can go in the thousands.

Hi,

some time ago I came across some other online auctions looking to good to be true, the pictures showed museum quality fossils at prices that where not peanuts, but still way to low. Turned out (before trying to buy) that these fake sites exist for all kinds of things from antiques to cars, and usually the few  gullible buyers receive nothing at all, the sites evaporating quickly. What surprised me was the relative quality of the fossil descriptions.

Best Regards,

J
