Found this fossil while digging a window well. It broke from my shovel and this was found inside! Still not able to identify it.

The left side ALMOST looks like an almond fossil, maybe some kind of nut? I’m just guessing here but looks most similar to one I’ve found

I don't think this is likely to be a nut fossil. It could be a fossil, but I'm not sure it's well preserved enough to be identified.

Nut fossils have been recovered as far north as Vermont, but I think they are as lignite.

It isn't a cross section that I recognize.

I'm not sure an ID can be made from just this photo.
It could just be a calcite filled vug.

Rocks of Wisconsin are too old for nuts to be a possibility. Brachiopods and gastropods are common in your local rock and could dissolve away, leaving a void for crystalline material to replace.

Thank you so much! I found it cool that I had both sides but definitely hard to identify. I really appreciate the input! I found another one yesterday and I'm curious, thinking it could be bone? It's full of fossils! Here is a picture

Definitely not bone.

Could be something fossilish, though, but heavily recrystallized and "geodizised".
