What do we have here? Montana Horn?

This fossil was recently handed down to a friend of mine. It was found on a family member's ranch near Cut Bank Montana in the 1950's. He remembers it being used as a door stop when he was a kid! What do we have here?

Hi Jimmy69 and welcome to the forum!

Looks to me like some kind of horn core, also looks as if someone repaired it by glueing (cementing) fragments to the thick end.

Others will have to say more.

Best Regards,

Welcome

The Cut Back area is typically the Two Medicine Formation, Campanian in age.  May be a horn but I'm not seeing the surface bone texture I would expect from one.  However it's difficult to tell with all the work that has been done to it with the photos provided.
