Icthyosaur jaws?

Hello,

This fossil was unlabeled but I'm guessing they're something along the lines of an Icthyosaur communis jaw from Lyme Regis UK? Are they genuine or perhaps a replica?

I'd agree. Looks real, and indeed probably Ichthyosaurus communis from the Lyme Bay area, quite nicely prepared too. Might even be the same piece I saw for sale a couple of years back. Very nice! :default_clap2:

This is a great piece, you can see a lot of details especially on the teeth! Would certainly like to have this in my collection ;)

I had my eye on this piece when it was for sale a few years back, but couldn't afford it/didn't prioritize it back then. But it's indeed an amazing piece. So much detail on the teeth and beautiful symphysis - which is unusual to find in an ichthyosaur jaw section, as there are many more sections where the jaws are simply already conjoined.
