Pterosaur bone with maybe some repair work?

Hi,

I have been offered this Pterosaur bone that looks possibly like a Pterosaur metatarsal but even after getting more photos of the fossil, I am not too sure if there has been work done to it, and this is why I want to post it here and get some opinions before doing anything else. I have some small concerns about the joint part. It comes from the Kem Kem. Thanks and I hope the photos are sufficient to determine how real it is!

This area appears to have your typical "Moroccan fill" but the photos are not good enough to determine whats going on, if anything.  Could just a poor repair or worst composite.  The rest "appears" clean other than possible reattachments.

You really need better photos to see that joint and verify the rest of the bone.

Here is what I see.  Been put back together from being broken in many pieces and maybe even colored?  Please do not hold me to this.  Im going from just the pictures.  Could be more problems, could be less.  I'm assuming more.

Typical Moroccan merchants photos. But in my opinion an interesting piece. If you would get beter photos close ups that would be very good. It has some fillers and may be broken and glued back at some parts, but this is normal

Thanks to all of you for the quick replies! some fill on the bone is pretty normal especially for fragile Pterosaur bones, but I do have concerns about the joint area and what I usually look for is if the bone gets wider at any point (which I can't see from the photos). I think it looks natural for the most part which just some glued and filled repairs......but the photos aren't good quality and I doubt I will get better quality photos. So I will just have to sleep on it and decide if the risk is worth it (which I rarely choose) or if I can discuss with the seller for better quality photos.

I agree and would lean more towards repairs.   That joint does not look out of place.  If you can get better photos great...

I do like it

better to see UV-pics from bones like this. Have seen some in Ste Marie, looks great but glued, at the end they had been composites. Not all.

This one could be (for my opinion) a repaired, but good one
