bocaciega
Found land site. Wondering if it's possible to tell the species of whale? Thanks!
Meganeura
@Boesse @bocaciega you're gonna want to get some measurements, I think. I'm not sure if Bobby needs em, but better safe than sorry. Fossils? I dig it.

webmasterj
Whale species by tooth and bulla can be really tricky, thread linked above is a great resource navigating that difficult ID. Dark Water Megs www.DarkWaterMegs.com

Boesse
These are from small balaenopterid whales - balaenopterids are rorquals, including modern minke, humpback, fin, and blue whales. Sometimes these can be identified to the genus level. The black one has a pretty strong ridge on the medial side, which makes it closely resemble "Balaenoptera" borealina from the Pliocene of Belgium/North Carolina.
