aborock
Hello everybody, I found your forum very interesting and thought you may help me to identify something I have since ever. Found this strange rock when I was 13 years old in Jordan, kept it for 45 years, but still wonder what is it?? Is it a simple rock or something else? Can anybody help? Fossildude19
Welcome to the Forum. Moved to FOSSIL ID. Looks like a weirdly eroded piece of limestone. No bone texture or bilateral symmetry. No bone morphology. Not a fossil, in my opinion. 2 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." fossilhunter21
I agree. It looks like a really weirdly eroded piece of limestone. It is certainly an interesting rock though! Cheers and Shalom, -Micah

Ludwigia
It's not very simple, but nevertheless, it's a rock and not a fossil. 1 1 Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Roger http://www.steinkern.de/
Rockwood
Weathered limestone I agree. But I'm not so sure this isn't a fossil. Pholad borings found in a desert would almost have to be.
webmasterj
Piece of limestone that shows a ton of time/weather on it, not a fossil but definitely a "cool rock" Dark Water Megs www.DarkWaterMegs.com
