Every facet of this specimen has me intrigued.  Could this side contain fungi or flora? @JBkansas

Thanks! So far, I have only found ichnofossils (mostly burrows) in that area so  these common organisms are firsts for me. Thanks for the feedback :)

@connorp, Regarding cross sections of Bryozoa - are you referring to the ‘net-like’ areas or the ‘Dr Seuss shapes’ that I circled here?  Thanks for helping me clarify & learn.

 Here are 2 websites I have found helpful with the marine fossils in my area:

 

Here's a brief overview of bryozoa:

And for help with identifying the shapes, I have learned a lot from this site:
