SkullChalice
Found this fossil in Co. Dublin, Ireland. According to my research it belongs to the genus merocanites, and if that is correct it seems to be rare-ish? Can anyone confirm? Thanks!
Fossildude19
It is a goniatite for sure, but I'm not sure Merocanites sp is found in Dublin. See Fossilworks. There are a few sister taxa noted. You might try to take this to Trinity College in Dublin to have them look at this. @westcoast Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." piranha
There are numerous Merocanites reported as abundant from the Rush Slates of Dublin.
