Tiny astragalus

This is the smallest one of these I have ever seen. Any ideas of what critter it may have belonged to? Found in North Central Nebraska   Measures 20mm X 12mm.

Reminds me of an artiodactyl ruminant, but it's very small.  I found a similar one and had tentatively ID'd it as deer.

I thought it seemed awfully small for a deer also but then again some of those artiodactyls in that time period were very small. Thanks!

That's from an artiodactyl, but not a deer.

I'm not sure a specimen from a juvenile animal would be identifiable as such by this bone.
