We found this fossil in a piece of flint

My 7 year old daughter and I found this last week on West Runton beach near to where a fossilised woolly mammoth was found a few years back. Curious to know whether its an animal or vegetation/tree fossil, or just some sort of mineral deposit. Many thanks in advance.

It's a sponge, quite likely Doryderma (also known as Brochodora - not sure which is currently accepted) which is the common branching one found in flint and the Chalk.

?Searching "Doryderma" brings up quite a few good images.
