Real Dinosaur egg?

Would like to know if this is a real dinosaur egg, considering all the fakes that are out there. Described as either a Hadrosaurus or Therizinosaurus egg from China. Diameter 10 cm (3.94 inches)

Like to see an area where the thickness of the eggshell is visible.  Does look like an unprepared egg so in might be a Spheroolithus type egg.

Without a provenance and prepping difficult to say much more.

So I purchased this egg and now I want to prep it a little. I don't have an airscribe, is there another way to remove the thin layer of matrix without damaging the eggshell or shell structure?

Not sure what the best way to proceed but you may want to post the egg on the prep forum page.  That would get more views from the folks that do preparation.  My guess is no other way, you may want to consider sending it to some professional
