Hello fellow members this is all brand new to me this is the first fossil I've ever found and I found it in my yard digging a foundation to put a waterfall in. Anyway if anybody can help me out on what I have here it would deeply be appreciated I'm hooked LOLIMG_20230318_013248.thumb.jpg.e12dc4d6bd0513d0d303be0f6942c9a7.jpgIMG_20230318_012541.thumb.jpg.042b48a434f46ad392b11c19d97742ee.jpgIMG_20230318_012921.thumb.jpg.9652b78cf1240be5bf0dc6e889827e92.jpgIMG_20230318_013914.thumb.jpg.3366bdd848ea603904336fbb5246bc6b.jpgIMG_20230318_012130.thumb.jpg.74701982d28b4c981d63e449b36d9a28.jpgIMG_20230318_011809.thumb.jpg.13ea83c8ab8f49b051d2c50374f79782.jpgIMG_20230318_011907.thumb.jpg.148c7853b675ad11148d0ae184b0be59.jpgIMG_20230318_012815.thumb.jpg.c340e242faa04719d6f3e4eb48e82cac.jpgIMG_20230318_011703.thumb.jpg.83e86c6554ca75c4399a4f3635bd27d7.jpgIMG_20230318_010952.thumb.jpg.d32a127ad2d35037d623120dc83faeee.jpgIMG_20230318_011320.thumb.jpg.1b727e007ef7f0fd6c96f52a7cc89627.jpgIMG_20230318_012148.thumb.jpg.86f1fff5f51977484f65613a23878842.jpg

Looks like turbidite sandstone sediment with a mixture of impressions and casts from gastropods and either bivalves or brachiopods. Possibly from the Pennsylvanian Pottsville Formation.

Could also be Mississippian, Devonian, or Ordovician, based on this webpage.

If he lives in the Dauphin which is a suburb of Harrisburg, according to this map, it's probably Pottsville Formation, but maybe he's talking about the whole county?
