Marcus P
hi, I got this raptor egg from China. Looks to good to be true, is it a fake?
Troodon
Looks typical from these views, so real, size?. Picture from the other side? Most likely not a raptor but from what is called an Oviraptorid.
Marcus P
hi Troodon, It measures approximately 16 x 7 x 5 cm. thanks for your help, Marcus
Troodon
Thank you Looks like a real Elongatoolithus type egg with some of the eggshell missing and one area with a possible composited eggshell. Not a raptor and these type of eggs have been attributed to Oviraptoroids but not exclusively to them.

Phos_01
Looks like a real egg. These dark background photos are never preferred when looking at fossils, you can always ask for light photos in a clear background, and perhaps a few with UV light. If a seller does not want to do this is a big warning sign. I like to believe this egg has got some varnish added to give it more shine, what is not a problem. Better egg's are out there but its not bad.
