Ammonite Collection from Whitby

Recommended Posts

I've been trying to vary my ammonite collection with some rarer found species. I still have plenty of gaps to fill but I've got plenty of searching time ahead of me yet :fingerscrossed: I'm also quite picky with which specimens I keep for my own collection, hence the small number. These are all self found and prepared by different talented fossil preparers.

Beautiful collection you have built up. I only go fossil hunting every couple of years now. So it has taken me 25years to build up my collection of ammonites.  My prep guy who was fantastic has retired now, can you message me with some recommendations of a good and not to expensive fossil preparers. Please and thank you, Bobby

Indeed, beautiful collection, Liam! And a great reference too, for others collecting ammonites from the Yorkshire coast! :tiphat:

Excellent cross section! But are you sure you don't mean Oxynoticeras with that first one?
