Mud fossil from large cluster formation of limestone seem like is a blade of grass growing on to see pictures

I'm not joking about this but these these I thought were like regular fossils I picked them up and they like they didn't feel right I had gloves on rubber gloves you know the ones workman's gloves and if I put them in a different bag and when I got home I picked them up and I put them in water the vinegar and stuff and they got like really slimy and I just put them on the side and I got him in the steel Tupperware container and another tupperware container with muriatic acid and the other one you know so in case they do get out whatever I don't know I know it sounds funny but it is what it is the

I don't know if they are mummified the worms or whatever they are but they're not fossilized and they're not like petrified and if you put water on them they'll get soft I don't know if they're like alive after millions of years I doubt it but there is a blade of grass growing out of one of the clumps of mud which is weird I was thinking about putting some water on it you know to see what grows it could be a grass seed from some you know like from when they dug them up but it's in I mean I don't understand how it could have got in that watch cluster formation because I because it broke open when they dumped it so I mean it'd be cool to see what kind of plant it would grow. The other photos are of the other mud dirt items that were in the pocket of the cluster which was probably about 6 ft aacro

I see mostly sandstone and limestone here with a couple of pieces of conglomerate thrown in here.

I will say that if you're hoping for help identifying these, it's best to break your posts up instead of dumping so many items and views into each post.  For a start, maybe picks one or two of the pieces you think have fossil and then indicate what part of the rock you think shows the fossil best.  Also, it helps if you number the different rocks so that if someone wants to comment they can easily identify which piece they are talking about.

Almost everything I can make out in your pictures looks like natural geologic weathering or conglomerate.

The only one that I'm curious to see more about was this one that I've attached below.

139 ! 139 !

That’s the number of photos on this post ! Don’t you feel like you’re drowning the reader ? And the vast majority are blurry, so they’re useless !

@Austin2000 Unfortunately, your wall of text and pictures make it nearly impossible to help you. Every thread that I have seen you start is the same so here are a few helpful tips.

1) Use punctuation! I can be long winded, but a whole post that is one run-on sentence is exhausting to try and read. Most members won’t even attempt it. Including myself. After what should be the first two sentences, I’m done.

2) Don’t post so many pictures of multiple specimens in one post! Again, it’s the photo equivalent of a run-on sentence. When you do post multiple pictures (of the same specimen), numbering them helps.

3) Post clear and well lit pictures! It’s hard enough to give an ID or opinion with pictures. The best possible pictures you can provide are required for any sort of accurate help from us. You may have some decent photos posted, but the few I bothered to look at where blurry, out of focus, or at odd angles.

Ok. Rant over. I’ll climb down from my soap box now.

What is your question? Which photo are you asking about?

Aha! I think this program could do with some improvement.

I don't think it's all talk-to-text's fault.  :Wink1: You can say "comma" or "period" to put punctuation in.  Don't get me wrong, the program could use some improvement, but I don't think that's the main issue here.

Yes JP, Because I have never seen a post with so many photos, especially as many are useless for identification by their poor quality :s_cry:

OK:

The compendial, large volume posting of pictures had me disinterested, somehow. Just me(" sensory overload")?

In general: when posting 3-dimensional items, show in-focus multiple views from at least 3 angles, with in focus pictures, using several modes of incident lighting.

Like Brandy Cole said: you are showing miscellaneous lithologies (geomaterials) , with as far as I could (or was willing to) ascertain, no provenance, and no discerning features pointing to a unequivocal biological origin.

As for language:

All of us have different language skills, and express themselves differently.

You have to make an effort to keep remembering you are are on an Internet Forum, which basically means that thoughts need to be verbalized clearly, transparently, with a basic ( sound) use of grammar, syntaxis, spelling, et very many cetera.

Posting here does (/should) come with an innate sense of propriety and public responsibility.

EDIT: You might want to think about getting a second opinion on the text you are planning to post.
