Hello,

I was wondering if anyone can assist in helping to ID some of my recent finds located in Monmouth county. Thanks in advance for any help.

First one looks like a worn Enchodus fang. The second looks like a shark tooth missing its root. The third looks like an ironstone concretion. And the fourth looks like a partial ammonite chamber. Did you find other material there?

Yes, some other good finds this trip after the storm. First are my unorganized finds and the second is what my wife came across today. I'm eventually sift through the teeth and organize them better by type.

Some common teeth, more concretions and my wife found a goodie as well in there (last photo - bottom right).

I agree with @Jeffrey P on #2-4, but I am pretty sure that #1 is a damaged (rootless) shark tooth, probably an anterior tooth of Scapanorhynchus.  And that last piece does look like a hybodont shark spine, very rare for New Jersey!  Congrats!

I'm not sure how complete the specimen is and am thinking it may be the tip, but that said, @Jeffrey P nailed this one. It's a hybodont spine and is a really nice find for the New Jersey Cretaceous. I actually donated my specimens to the New York Museum of Natural History a few years ago.

Congrats!!
