(Solved) Weird Mamal Tooth From the Dominican Republic

Recommended Posts

A couple of my friends are on vacation and have taken photos of this tooth they found in the ocean. I unfortunately do not have much knowledge in mamal teeth and was wondering if anyone knew what this was. Unfortunately they don't have anything to give for size refrence or the age of the tooth in question. I apologize.

stegodont(/proboscid),if you ask me(eg.Tetralophodon),particularly given the extreme bunodonty

Edit: I'll let it stand, but this is far from a confident assessment, and there is the size issue,as well

edit two: having looked at some Pleistocene Sus Scrofa dentition,I'm now convinced Harry P.is spot on with his determination
