So I found this by the bank of a river in MN. I think it's a egg because of the shell it has I don't know what the holes are all about either.....but the layer underneath looks like you can see feathers or fur or skin... please help me identify it thx.

Welcome to the Forum. :)

 

Unfortunately, it's not an egg.  Looks to me like a cobble with either some differential weathering - (harder minerals inside than on the outside),

or possibly some boring marks on it.

 

There is no eggshell texture. No real egg morphology.

Also, ... Minnesota is not known for having exposures of rocks that are young enough for having potential egg fossils.

 

Have a read through this topic - It was written by a paleontologist who studies eggs.  ;)
