indianhead
Found this in a creek bed in northern Ohio in the Cuyahoga Valley when I was visiting family. It was laying in the shale level, but I think it was pulled from somewhere else by the glaciers as there is a lot of material above the shale from the glaciers. The overall dimensios are 3" by 2". Sorry I did not include a reference item in the photo. Thanks in advance Edited July 21, 2010 by indianhead
erose
Yeah, probably glacial drift. The fossils are rugose corals. Sometimes called horn corals.
