biddysere
I found this tooth yesterday. Not sure what it is.Looks like carnivore to me. Found it while snorkeling the river. It was, of course, out of context. Any ideas to what it is? Thanks

Fossildude19
Hello biddysere, Yup it's a tooth. Looks like some kind of whale tooth? http://www.google.co...iw=1260&bih=868 If you could take a clearer picture, from a few different angles, with something in the picture for scale (ie; Coin or ruler) and are able to tell us where, geographically it came from, we may be able to help with a more complete id. Cool find,... thanks for showing us. PrehistoricFlorida
This is some type of canid tooth. Better pictures with scale are needed for further identification. www.PrehistoricFlorida.com
