CousinLarry
I think it's the Jianghanichthys from China.. Also it's been repaired, one straight crack in half. Looks to be authentic, no? Paid $38 for it. Slab is about 4.5" long, 3.5" tall. Any info is appreciated! Thanks!
FossilDAWG
I think you have better flea markets than the ones I occasionally get dragged to. Don
Rover
I can't really help you with the ID, but I will say that it's a very nice looking fossil. I've seen a lot of good stuff at the flea markets I've been to, but, sadly, fossils and money rarely coincide for me.
Eureka
Doubtless is a Jianghanichthys fossil. Best regards, Eureka
CousinLarry
I was surprised to see it there.. The flew market is the "Green Dragon" near Lancaster, PA.. The stand had lots of minerals and fossils.. Few fish, shrimp, crabs, etc.. The shrimp was really cool but about $60 and I didn't want to spend that much. The crab was REAL cool and emerging from a rock, but close to $200. Is $38 for this fish about right? Seemed like a good deal at the time. I'd really like to FIND some fish of my own, I know they are somewhere in my state, but I can't find any Thanks for the help.
