dplenzick Posted August 2, 2010 Share Posted August 2, 2010 (edited) I found 2 unusual pieces...I live in Florida...The first set of pics are what I found snorkling off Deerfield beach in the shallows buried in the sand...we continued exploring the area in a 25 square yard area and found nothing else.The second set of pics of the bone were found in our back yard TODAY which is a black sand pit.we uprooted an old dead tree and it was sticking up out of the sand under the root. I have dug the area and found nothing.but the bugs were too bad to stay out. I will explore the area more tomorrow. Any help would be appreciated...and thank you to all who reply ahead of time!! Guest N.AL.hunter Posted August 2, 2010 Share Posted August 2, 2010 (edited) Well the pics aren't the clearest, but to me the first object looks like limestone and the second object looks like a piece of oyster shell or some other shell type.
