I had to capitalize that because I have a number of associated vertebrae strings that are in the .75mm to 1.5mm size range that look very similar. Now all i have to do is take the vertebrae to the sternberg and compare them to this eel. If they turn out to match, I'll have to donate them due to the rarity, of course. Sounds like a good excuse to plan a trip to Western Kansas! It's always interesting to see something new out of the Niobrara formation! Thanks again for posting this article!
