ashcraft
I havn't seen any of these posted, I have collected several columnar stromatolites from a Cretaceous deposit. My file is a little large, still working out how to use the edit software. Brent Ashcraft ashcraft, brent allen

ashcraft
Here is a big one, it looks very similar to what still grows in Shark's Head Bay, Australia. ashcraft, brent allen
Guest N.AL.hunter
For those interested in seeing a lot of stromatolites, and if you are in the Tennessee area, visit Center Hill Lake, Edgar Evans State Park. The shoreline is full of fossil material, specially Stromatolites. You cannot collect from state park, but if you can canoe around, the park only covers a small area of the lake. Ashcraft, that second stromatolite sure has a nice form to it. Displays real nicely.
