Megs are broader at the root and Chubs have small cusps on the side but when the tooth is so juvenile it's near impossible to tell the difference. That’s interesting! John Nance (Collections Manager and paleontologist) at the Calvert Marine Museum said he thinks meg rather than chub because there is no evidence of cusps.
