After years of collecting the time has come to share some photos of my fossil treasures.

Instead of keeping them out of sight I decided to have them available for others to enjoy besides me.

I'll start with a few that show the main displays and will follow with close-ups of individual shelves and

some of the more interesting specimens. I just purchased a new camera so as I take the photos they will get

posted here in this thread. This project should take a few weeks to photograph with sharp detail and

proper lighting. Hope everyone enjoys seeing the fossils!

here is a closer photo of a shelf with mostly trilobites.

macro shots are in the hopper - especially the spiny bugs ;)

the lighting is difficult with the mirrored surface behind the fossils.

You've done a wonderful job and you have some beautiful fossils. Thanks for sharing with us.

Getting a crash course on color temp, light diffusion and white balance

I might qualify for a Pulitzer in photo journalism by the time I get through these

Starting with a redo on the whole shelf and then a couple dozen showing them up close and personal
