Or is it a lichen? or pseudofossil? scale in mm Symmetrical indentation of weathered limestone dolostone. There is a star shaped object 5 arms with forked ends.... Thoughts? Dolostone is formed in hypersaline seas where the limestone pick up Mg .... maybe this a pseudofossil from salt crystals.... traces from salt hopper? It has a interesting radial strafish like pattern... maybe it is lichen... after all the limestone was weathered... the depression may have been a fossil that has weathered out.... just thinking out load....
