That is a nice one..is it a complete tooth? B)B)B):)

No roots on it to speak of, but it is the whole tooth enamel-wise.

I found one small juvenile mastodon molar a couple of years near to where he found this one. But he is due to move back up to Maryland in the spring due to his wife's job and he was hoping to find one before he left and he finally did. I was very happy for him as he has put forth a ton of effort to finally find one. Now I want to find more!

No my scuba and fossil activities do not overlap. But I do search the peace with a friend who has pulled out a complete mammmoth tooth. Luck by association?

Very nice find! :)

What a wonderful menagerie! Who would believe that such as register lay buried in the strata? To open the leaves, to unroll the papyrus, has been an intensely interesting though difficult work, having all the excitement and marvelous development of a romance. And yet the volume is only partly read. Many a new page I fancy will yet be opened. -- Edward Hitchcock, 1858

Very nice!

How was the hunting other wise on the Peace?

Simplicity is not the goal. It is the by-product of a good idea and modest expectations.
