Oregon Coast Fossils!

Hello everyone! Got a bit of a dilemma on my hands. About a year ago me and my family went to the coast just for fun. Whilst on the beach I found several clam fossils and agates. I came across a bit of strange material, to me it looks like some type of either agatized wood or opalized wood. To be honest I dont know that much about replacement fossils (if they are fossils at all! :P )If anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated!post-5180-0-12192900-1299282940_thumb.jpg

I looks like coral still covered with some matrix to me. I would have no idea the exact genus.

Finding my way through life; one fossil at a time.

The photos are big but great detail. I think the first one is pet wood. The second.. I've seen quartz that looks a lot like that, coming out of the sw oregon coast range. Are they from the Brookings area in Oregon?
