Hadrodus Pricus

Recommended Posts

I found a part of the hook-like juvenile tooth that is part of the pharyngeal "tooth comb" of the pycnodontoid bony fish Hadrodus priscus (often identified on the East Coast as "Stephanodus").

I am attaching a pic here, but would love to see a complete one to get a better idea. Does anyone have one in their collection and could you post a pic of it?post-13-1214259856_thumb.jpg

Roz, I think yours is basically complete. If anything there might be a tad bit more of a simple straight root in complete ones.

Oh, I didn't realize that. I had pictured a really long root.

Thanks, toothpuller!
