jbstedman
Great post. The fossil record just keeps getting richer and richer. Besides fossils, I collect roadcuts, Stream beds, Winter beaches: Places of pilgrimage. Jasper Burns, Fossil Dreams
marnixR
nice to see that the transition from lobefin to amphibian now contains so many structural intermediates makes quite a difference from even 50 years ago, when we only had Eusthenopteron and Ichthyostega (the latter not even properly described) pretty soon this transition will start comparing well with the synapsid-mammalian transition as a showcase for evolution I don't have to know an answer. I don't feel frightened by not knowing things; by being lost in a mysterious universe without any purpose — which is the way it really is, as far as I can tell, possibly. It doesn't frighten me. ~ Richard Feynman
Guest solius symbiosus
Kind of on topic: This guy has a good post on Synteny that is dumbed down enough, that even I, somewhat, can understand the basics.
