Roz
Nice ammonite and that tooth is great. I love the Ozan especially! One of my favorite formations. Welcome to the forum!
Auspex
um, I beat the matrix out of it with a rock hammer, screaming, "What's your name?! What's your name?!" but it just lay there like a rock and said nothing. So, I'm thinking if Metoicoceras was a particularly stoic ammonite, then yes, that's what it is. But then again, maybe I'll just upload another picture and you can renoberate it's barnaculation better...sooo, whaddaya think? I'm kinda leaning toward thinking it's a criminal nautilus in disguise for the witness protection program. either that or it's a pseudoammonoidus dwarficus. LOL!!!! (PS: I think "stoic ammonite" would make a terrific band name) "There has been an alarming increase in the number of things I know nothing about." - Ashleigh Ellwood Brilliant “Try to learn something about everything and everything about something.” - Thomas Henry Huxley >Paleontology is an evolving science. >May your wonders never cease!
