Guest Nicholas
Darn you, I just read this on Nat Geo and I was going to post it. Here's their spin on the story: http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/20...aur-tissue.html
Auspex
Kind of disappointing if it goes this way, but that's what good science is all about. "There has been an alarming increase in the number of things I know nothing about." - Ashleigh Ellwood Brilliant “Try to learn something about everything and everything about something.” - Thomas Henry Huxley >Paleontology is an evolving science. >May your wonders never cease! Guest N.AL.hunter
You are exactly right Auspex. This is an example of good science. The first people did good science and they posted their findings of what they believed they found. By posting them, they allowed others to try and duplicate their results to confirm or not confirm the original hypothesis. If I were still teaching science, I would tell my students about this one. Boesse
I'll read this when I get back to MT. I can't imagine Jack is very happy (or Mary S. for that matter... I'll be able to get the point by point on it when I get back into town). Obviously... since I know Jack (and Mary to a lesser extent) and since I've seen some of the stuff myself, and have seen Mary presenting her findings several times, I tend to side with her and Jack... but In the name of good science, I'll make up my mind after I've read the challenge.
