Sharkbyte
That is awesome. I'm assuming that you are the creator of this model? Bobby "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." - Confucius

32fordboy
haha Thanks, guys. It's amazing how long it takes to sculpt something. The hard part is getting the proportions right. It was pretty scary when the mold was opened up to reveal a crushed model, but it was worked through. Making the molds is a science. You learn pretty quick, though, because every unusable mold half may as well be $50 down the toilet. www.nicksfossils.com
ghost1066
Yep molding and casting is where a lot of sculptors fall down. Looks pretty easy till you jump in and try it then not so much. Mother molds are worse to me just because of the time involved but small models rarely need them. Again good work looking forward to seeing the finished piece. Here are a couple I did. T.Rex vs Croc by CM Studio built and painted by me. Velociraptor vs Protoceratops by CM Studio built and painted by me. base by me. This was an original sculpt of mine I cast and painted. 32fordboy
Very nice sculpts. I have a Boar Croc (Kaprosuchus) on the bench right now. He's going to be a difficult sculpt. The T-rex and Edmontosaurus should be molded within 3 weeks, hopefully. www.nicksfossils.com
