What The Heck Is This Tiny Thing?

Sorry about the quality of the photos, it is a little harder to take pics of tiny things easily. I'll redo it later :).

I found this a few months ago while I was crawling around in the North Sufur River.

Looks like two button corals stuck together, but that is just a pure guess. Some others will have the right answers for ya soon. Thanks for sharing!

Could it be the parts (don't know the name) that are found between fish verts?

I think Bob may be on to something here. It looks like the concave ends of two fish verts that have fused together with the concavidness (tracer should like that word) together in the middle.

I agree with both of you. We find those a lot in western Kansas. I have not see many from Texas though. Pretty cool.

I'd guess Cimolichthys verts.
