Guest mrmontgom
Who knows where this got imported from. I think they came from my neighbors driveway when I was a kid. 2 different items.
Ordovicious
That's interesting. I recently had a co-worker show me a nice horn coral she found in the new gravel in her driveway.
Guest solius symbiosus
They are crinoid ossicles.
Mike Murphy
The first photograph is definitely of an ossicle from a crinoid stem. The second photograph looks agatized and could be a piece of petrified wood. I can't see any crinoid, coral or sponge structures in this view. Undoubtedly, the items were derived from different sources and jumbled in a gravel mix. Regards, Mike
Guest N.AL.hunter
They both appear to be crinoid stem sections to me, just the second one shows more water polishing.
