Me too, that was a great day, A storm was coming in and the leaves were blowing around. October is a great time to hit a leaf fossil site.

Had a very similar experience 5 years ago, except the officer climbed up to where I was and proceeded to hunt with me!!! I saw him occasionally drive by when I have been hunting and we always chat and check out my finds. Sorry to say, never bumped into him this year.

  

By the way, great find at a self found location. Nothing is better than that!!

That's great, hopefully he'll show up next time your there. 

Sadly an area around my site has recently been logged, so it is no longer hidden in the trees.

But I saw no diggings at the site, so still all mine.
