kauffy
The Codell Sandstone has got to be one of the coolest formations during the cretaceous, it seems to have such different forms of fossils throughout America! this thread is dedicated to this formation, if you have hunted it, post some pics of what you have found in it! i know theres a lot of different fossils depending on the location! Heres my effort, Pueblo Co. Resevoir lookout. Here the codell Sandstone shows root casts and loads of trace fossils from when the sea retreated and then a concentrated oyster bed from a time when the seas were much higher, amazing how it shows fluctuations in sea levels during the cretaceous! "Turn the fear of the unknown into the excitment of possibility!"We dont stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing.
