From what I can find I think you have either a Faujasia sp. or Hardouinia sp. Plax Posted March 12, 2012 Share Posted March 12, 2012 sediment looks like the Mt Laurel lag exposed at Big Brook as orange sand in some high exposures. fossilsofnj Posted April 3, 2012 Share Posted April 3, 2012 Excellent find, complete echinoids are few and far between in the NJ area and are an area of research. To get a definite id the top needs to be exposed. A friend who does research in this area has offered to prep the fossil for you so an accurate identification can be made.
