Aussie Fossil Id?

Hi, new to the game and hoping someone might be able to ID a recent find (see attached photos). Setting is diatomite bed (fresh water) between basalt flows (tertiary age) in the Mt Sylvia Region, Southeast Queensland Australia. The fossil in question is ~ 13mm long, suggested it is a seed of some description. I have added a couple of leaf fossils as well - just in cas eit helps!

Seed seems most likely...could be a bract, but the lack of structural texture (compared to the leaf pictures) might make that less likely.

Nice fossils! Welcome to the Forum :)
