Also found this in the Oregon Buttes area of Wyoming. It was known to be a shallow sea at one point in time. (Still learning my regional geology). Found a lot of petrified wood around where this was. Lower elevations had lots of coral.

To me this looks like an appendage fragment from a mammal, but I don't really know what I'm talking about.

(I probably shouldn't have shot these pictures on concrete. I can upload others if needed.)

Thoughts?

I don't think it is a bone, looks more like a mineral deposit to me, but I am no bone expert.
