surfsupthirdcoast
Middle and Upper Ordovician of Ontario/Michigan (found on Lake Huron) Found with Pseudogygites latimarginatus, and most likely from the Collingwood Member of the Lindsay Formation. No idea what this was. Help?
Bullsnake
I know it isn't, but it reminds me of a flying dragon lizard! Steve
Wrangellian
Hard for me to say not being very familiar with that Fm/fauna, but do you think we're looking at one organism or (parts of) two or more, or are the radiating lines just that kind of 'wash' pattern that sometimes occurs around an organism or piece of one? The line around the outside is what puzzles me, though, and maybe we're looking at the underside of something, ie. the outer edge of something that is upside-down inside the rock? In that case the thing on top I would guess to be a chance juxtaposition, maybe an isolated trilo segment or something.
