Could the first one be burrows?

As for the second; shades of Mazon Creek! You should try splitting them!

It was just quick visit to that place, I made only a couple of photoes and going to get there againe. Will share all interesting things if be luck.

As for burrows... Thare are no holes in the stone - only sticks. I think no.
