Trevor
Hello everyone! I was wondering what I should do for saltwater sifting. I dont want my things to get destroyed by rust immediately. Does anyone have any ideas? : )
Auspex
Just rinse your tools in fresh water & air-dry when you're done. Storage long-term can include a shot of WD-40, if you are so inclined. Sharks of SC
Fresh water rinse post-hunt is a must. Same can be said of fishing, boating, diving, etc. in salt water. WD-40 or CRC-56 are great long-term corrosion preventatives, as Auspex said.
Boesse
You could also just use window screen instead; I've taken plastic file crates and gorilla-glued window screen in them for screening bonebed matrix on a beach.
