MarkGelbart Posted September 14, 2012 Share Posted September 14, 2012 A family of fossil hunters collects specimens from the Mississippi River in northwest Louisiana, northeast Mississippi, and southeast Arkansas. They've displayed their finds on the below linked website. Among the most exciting fossils in my opinion are of manatee and stag-moose. The latter is very rare in southeastern fossil sites and must date to a cold stadial .
