Wrangellian

Thanks Adam, I have been meaning to go up some more but other things keep happening.

The piles at the top and the western side should still be accessible even if these lower ones are no longer. (I think)

I thought I would post some shots from my latest trip up to the lower area, since it is being rapidly developed and soon there will be nothing left to collect. (The upper and west side areas are still there, but I suppose they will be next. For now I need to collect where it is most urgent - my small 'Sponge Site' patch near here is already obliterated).

There were a couple small piles of rock that I had heretofore missed seeing...

The red arrow above points to the edge of an ammonite barely showing out of the rock (below). I dared not touch it until I got glue in it, but I had left that at home...

In my travels up there I have seen 2 or 3 of these large limey boulders packed with ichnofossils but I don't know whether it's worth trying to lug them home. I can't lift this piece, it would require a prybar and maybe two people to lift it into the car.

Here is a coral (Platycyathus?) and two Type 1 bivalves in proximity, at that same pile as the ammonite. The coral is barely 9mm in diam.

I found another coral with some odd 'granules' in the middle of it, which I did not get a pic of. I should do that and post it for opinions.
